About

Mobile boat detailing,
done properly.

Spokane Boat Detail is a mobile boat detailing service based in Spokane and serving the lakes and marinas across the Spokane and Coeur d'Alene region. We come to your boat wherever it lives. Owner-operated by David Tanchin.

We do the full range of detailing work: routine washes, oxidation removal, compound buffing, polishing, and long-term protection. Every job is hand-finished and quoted based on what your boat actually needs.

No padded packages. No surprises. Quick replies, clear communication, and honest pricing from the first message.

How this started

Spokane roots, a respect for the work.

Spokane Boat Detail started where most good Inland Northwest stories start, on the water. Lake Coeur d'Alene, Long Lake, the Spokane River. Boats my family kept clean ourselves because we cared how they looked, and because nobody local was going to come out to a private dock and do it the way we wanted it done.

I'm David. I run this. The work I do now is the same work I learned doing it for our own boats: compound, polish, hand-applied wax, no shortcuts, no padded packages. The reason it's mobile is the reason most people in this region need it to be: nobody wants to pull a trailer across town to a shop, and a slip-kept boat can't go anywhere anyway. We come to the boat. Driveway in the Valley, slip on Lake CDA, lift on Hayden Lake, storage lot in Post Falls. Wherever it lives.

I keep this small on purpose. One operator, one boat at a time, hands on the hull. That's the only way to actually read what a gelcoat is doing and decide what it needs. A faded 21-foot Cobalt and a chalky 30-foot cruiser are not the same job. They get treated like it isn't.
