Buff & wax
Compound, polish, and a hand-applied marine wax. Cuts oxidation, restores color depth, seals the gelcoat for 8–12 months on outdoor-stored boats. Whole-boat or topsides only.
Mobile boat buff and wax, oxidation removal, and gelcoat protection for boats on Priest Lake, Lake Pend Oreille, and the Priest River corridor. Owner-operated, hand-finished, on site at your slip, driveway, or storage lot. The same person quotes the work and does the work.
Priest Lake is one of the cleanest, clearest lakes in the Pacific Northwest, which also means the sun reflects off the water harder than most Inland Northwest boaters realize. Boats out of Coolin, Reeder Bay, Hill's Resort, and the north-end marinas see real UV exposure all summer. Lake Pend Oreille is the same story at scale: longer water, more time under sun, harder on gelcoat.
We come out to Priest River, Coolin, Hope, Sandpoint, Garfield Bay, and the Priest River corridor regularly. Most of the work is slip-side at marinas or on-trailer at home, a few of our clients store their boats in barns or covered storage and we work them there.

Outside that radius? Ask anyway. We'll let you know honestly if it makes sense.

For chalky, yellowed, or faded hulls. Multi-stage compound with wet-sand when needed. The fix when a buff alone won't cut it.
Pre-season prep in late April–May, end-of-season detail before shrinkwrap or covered storage. Either window protects the gelcoat for the months it sits.
Send a few photos and tell us the boat's length and where it lives. We'll come back with what your boat actually needs, and what you can skip.
Yes. We come out to Priest River, Coolin, Hope, and Sandpoint regularly. Slip-side service at marinas on Priest Lake's north end, the boat launches at Mosquito Bay and Kalispell Bay, and home or storage-lot service in town. If your boat is anywhere in Bonner County around the lakes, we'll get to it.
Priest Lake and Pend Oreille have surprisingly intense UV exposure thanks to high-altitude clarity and long summer days. For boats stored outside, plan on a full buff and wax once a year, late April or early May is ideal so the work is done before the season ramps. Add a mid-season wax-only refresh in July if the boat lives uncovered on a trailer. Covered or garaged boats can stretch the full buff to every 18 months.
Both. We work at marinas around Priest Lake (Coolin, Reeder Bay, Hill's), on Lake Pend Oreille (Garfield Bay, Hope, Sandpoint), at private docks, at storage lots, and at homes. We bring our own water and power if needed.
It depends on the boat. Length, gelcoat condition, scope (whole-boat vs topsides only), and hull color all move the number. Send a few photos and we'll come back with a real quote, not a range. We do charge a small travel adjustment for Priest River and the lakes since it's farther from our Spokane base than CDA or Hayden.
Two windows. Spring (late April through early June) is the prep window, most owners want their boat ready before the holiday weekends. Fall (September through mid-October) is the storage window, buff and wax before shrinkwrap and you've protected the gelcoat through the winter. We book up fastest in May and September; reach out 2–4 weeks ahead in those months.
Owner-operated. Quick replies, honest quotes, and the same person doing the work as quoting it. Mobile across Priest River, Sandpoint, Hayden, Post Falls, Coeur d'Alene, Liberty Lake, Spokane Valley, and Spokane.
